In this item, the dancer depicts the story of Krishna stealing the clothes of the cowherd women as they bathe and play in the river Yamuna. With his mischievous act Krishna reminds us we are not the body, but instead the pure soul which yearns for union with the Divine.

This item is a thillana, or pure dance of joy. In this thillana, the nine rasas (or emotions) are also enacted as part of the joy of life.
